The Academy of Finance® is pleased to announce the appointment of Mario DiFiore, PhD as Lead Global Markets Instructor.

Mario DiFiore is Senior Assistant Dean, Director, and Professor of Finance and Business Economics at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. He has built a distinguished academic and professional career at the intersection of financial markets, behavioral finance, and risk.

He leads key initiatives in financial wellness and Student-Managed Investment Funds, and serves as Chairman of the SMIF Responsible Investments Investment Committee. In parallel, Mario is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Financial Compliance and author of the column Market Minds and Money Moves.

Prior to academia, Mario held senior roles at Deutsche Bank and the Federal Reserve, contributing to global financial communication and policy visibility. His international work spans training and advisory engagements across North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Mario’s expertise in combining fundamental and behavioral approaches to markets, along with his commitment to developing the next generation of investors, will further strengthen the Academy’s academic excellence and real-world approach.
