Immersion is at the heart of the educational philosophy of The Academy of Finance®.
The Academy believes that the best way to understand investing is not only to study financial markets, but to experience the institutions that shape them every day.
As part of the Wall Street Master Class®, students recently visited Bloomberg’s global headquarters in New York City for an exclusive behind the scenes experience at one of the world’s leading financial information companies.
Inside One of the World’s Leading Financial Information Companies
During the visit, students explored the role Bloomberg plays in the global financial system and gained insight into how financial professionals access, analyze, and interpret market information.
Highlights of the visit included:
• Discovering the Bloomberg Terminal and its role in investment research
• Visiting the Bloomberg newsroom and learning how financial news reaches global markets
• Exploring how technology and data support investment professionals around the world
• Learning about Bloomberg’s history, culture, and impact on global finance
For many students, it was their first opportunity to see firsthand how information drives decision making across financial markets.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Experiences such as this are a defining element of the Wall Street Master Class®.
Throughout the program, students complement their academic coursework with visits to leading financial institutions, conversations with Wall Street professionals, and immersive experiences that connect financial theory with professional practice.
The Academy believes that understanding investing requires more than textbooks. It requires observing how markets operate, how professionals make decisions, and how the world’s leading financial institutions contribute to the global economy.
